Mr.
Cameron and Mr. Sarkozy went to visit the Lybian people to congratulate them for liberating their country, but was this the only reason for their
coming?
The
UK Prime Minister and the French President, surrounded by bodyguards,
travelled from Tripoli to Benghazi. Despite what they say in their
great speeches, we believe they don’t really care about Lybia or
the Lybian people. It is strange that they now care about Lybia,
after having supported Kadafi for so long... Is it because Lybia is a
country with a lot of oil? And do they not also want French and
British firms to help rebuilt Lybia?
Comment by Valentin: David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy went to Libya to celebrate the freedom of the inhabitants. They want to help Libyans to build a new country and democracy for the future. Britain and France were at the forefront of the Nato operation in Libya.
ReplyDeleteMr Sarkozy urged Libyans to avoid "vengeance and retaliation", calling on them to preserve unity and seek reconciliation. The two leaders went to a hospital to support cheering staff and patients.
Lots of people think that they went there to conclude a sort of deal with Libya. Libya indeed does have great natural resources and a lot of countries are interested in Libya for that.
